VHSC Academy at Legion FC Game Night!
July 10, 2021 • Legion FC vs Memphis FC
This past weekend the Legion FC professional soccer team took on the Memphis 901 FC! It was an exciting night as all Legion FC D League Clubs attended with a representative from each Club to participate in a PK shootout at half time against the Chic-Fil-A Cow!
It was great to see all the players and families attend the game! Our very own VHSC Girls Academy was represented taking on the Cow during the shootout!

Dear VHSC Soccer Families!
We hope this email finds you well! Here is a quick emailer on the best program we run – TOPSoccer for players with special needs. The TOPSoccer program is designed to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth of kids with special needs through soccer. The player program is open to children in the U4-U19 age group with any physical or mental disability.
VHSC TOPSoccer Program Information:
Where: Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex
Days: Sundays
Times: 5:30-6:30 PM
Fall 2021 Dates:
- September 12
- September 19
- September 26
- October 3
Groups will be formed based on player needs and not necessarily by age.
VHSC TOPSoccer Program Volunteers Needed!
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! We need able bodied players to serve as “Sidekicks”, as each TOPSoccer player gets their own Sidekick. The Sidekick program is open to any able bodied player, parents, or siblings.
- Sidekicks are needed for TOPSoccer players.
- Sidekicks must be 12 years of age or older.
- TOPSoccer will be hosted at the Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex, Field #5 (wall ball field)
TOPSoccer is an excellent opportunity to give back to the community. Help us help those in need and volunteer today to be a Sidekick!

Welcome to Vestavia Hills Soccer Club, Leaders in Youth Development!
We are excited to have completed the Spring 2021 season amidst the pandemic allowing players and families to be back on the field and playing the great game of Soccer! Players, Parents, Families, and Staff did a wonderful job this past year! Thank you for all your dedication and patience in these unprecedented times!
On that note, all Fall 2021 Recreational programs are now open!

We have programs for boys and girls at all ages from U4 and older!
The tentative calendar is below:
- August 16 - registration closes
- August 30 (week) - U8 and older team practices start
- September 10 - U8 games start
- September 11 - CASL League/Mini Kickers Start
- September 12 - U6 Starts/Champions League U9-U12 starts
- September 13/14 - Skills and Game Night starts
- October 30 - Mini Kickers Ends
- November 5 - U8 Games End
- November 6 - CASL League Ends
- November 7 - U6 Ends/Champions League U9-U12 ends
Academy Soccer - Bridge Program to Competitive Soccer
If you are looking for more and are a U8-U10 player, we have programming to supplement your existing Recreational program and/or you can look to join our bridge to competitive soccer, the Academy. The Academy uses professional, licensed coaches that work hard to maximize player development and teach soccer skills and awareness through hard work, discipline, learning, and FUN. Steamers 09 Black are State Cup Finalists!
Steamers 09 Black are State Cup Finalists! Congratulations to the Steamers 09 Black team and Coach Chris Blight!
The weekend saw some great soccer and tough matches for the Steamers.
The Steamers 09 Black team opened against eventual State Champions FC Montgomery and without Coach Chris... Coach Chris had double duty this weekend with the Steamers and Coaching the Oak Mountain Girls to a State Championship! As Oak Mountain girls won their championship handily, the Steamers fought hard against a strong FC Montgomery team! The game ended 0-3 in FC Montgomery's favour.
Coach Chris returned in the 2nd match to rally the Steamers to a 4-2 victory over Barber Elite, also from Montgomery. The boys were on fire from the start scoring some amazing goals throughout the match... They played with heart, determination, and attacking soccer to overcome Barber Elite.
Heading into Sunday, the Steamers needed a draw to finish 2nd in round-robin play! The Steamers faced Hoover-Vestavia 09 Boys in the 3rd game of the weekend... The game was a tough match for both squads with some quality soccer played... In the end, Steamers drew 0-0 with HVS... making the Steamers State Cup Finalists!
We are so proud of the boys and Coach Chris for all their progress, hard work, and determination this season and year! Congrats Steamers! Way to go!
Attack 11 Inter Milan are Trussville Classic Champions!
Congratulations to Coach Philip and the Attack 11 Inter Milan team for bringing home the hardware this weekend at the Trussville Classic! The girls dominated the division over the weekend and eventually winning the final 3-2! We are excited the future! Way to go girls!
Attack 12 Ajax are Trussville Classic Champions!
Congratulations to Attack 12 Ajax for winning the Trussville Classic! The girls went undefeated on the weekend and brought home the hardware on Sunday! Congrats to Coach Katty Vargas and the Attack 12 Ajax – Trussville Classic Champions! Way to go girls!
Attack 10 Dortmund are Trussville Classic Champions!
Congratulations to the Attack 10 Dortmund team for winning the Trussville Classic this weekend! The girls persevered through some rainy weather to bring home the hardware on Sunday.
The Attack 10 Dortmund found themselves pitted against their sister team, Attack 10 Juventus, in the Championship on Sunday afternoon!
After a hard fought and even match, the girls won in a dramatic PK shootout! Congratulations to both teams for making the final and bringing home 1st and 2nd place! Great things to come moving into next year! Way to go girls!
Attack 10 Juventus are Trussville Classic Finalists!
Congratulations to the Attack 10 Juventus team for reaching the finals at the Trussville Classic! The Attack 10 Juventus won in the Semi-Finals to advance to the final against sister team Attack 10 Dortmund! The final was a hard fought battle that had to be determined by a shootout! In the end, Dortmund overcame Juventus in a dramatic 3-2 shootout…
Congratulations to both teams for reaching the final and for Juventus’ 2nd place finish! Way to go girls!
HVS announces all Boys 2nd teams will play in the National Premier League!

Hoover-Vestavia Soccer (HVS) is excited to announce that all Boys 2nd teams of the club will now play in the National Premier League - South Atlantic. In addition we will add three more age groups to our list of 2nd teams for 2021. HVS will now have boys 2nd teams in the U19, U17, U16, U15, U14, and U13 age groups.
Hoover-Vestavia Soccer is dedicated to the development of top-class players in the state of Alabama. We are proud of the many professional and national team players that have come through our programs. Chris Richards, Brandon Servania, along with JJ Williams are just a few of the current pros from our area that grew up in our clubs. We combine great players with great coaches, to create a training environment that allows our players to reach for the stars.

With our 1st teams moving into MLS NEXT, moving our 2nd teams to the NPL was a logical progression. Providing more opportunity for players to compete at the regional and national level is what we want for our club. HVS players who play on our NPL teams may also have opportunities to train and play with our MLS NEXT teams.

HVS ID Dates are April 3 & May 9!
HVS ID Dates are April 3 & May 9
Join us for our HVS ID Dates for MLS NEXT and DPL in April and May! Players can get a jump on the competition before tryouts and attend our ID Dates. ID Dates are a great way to be seen by our Professional staff prior to the actual tryout days of May 15-16. Players are encouraged to attend all sessions. All players should sign up online prior to the event.
