Exciting news! Our competitive U13-U19 tryouts are just around the corner, and we can't wait to see your young athletes in action. Whether your child is a soccer superstar or starting, everyone can showcase their skills and join the fun!

May 6-8:  Pre-Tryout Camp 1 for U8-U19

Get warmed up and ready at our first pre-tryout camp from May 6th to May 8th. It's a fantastic opportunity for your child to hone their skills and get to know our coaching staff.

May 13-15:  Boys and Girls Competitive Team Tryouts for U13-U18

Save the dates – May 13th to May 15th – for our tryouts. It's the perfect opportunity for your child to shine on the field and potentially secure a spot on one of our competitive teams. Our coaches will be there every step of the way to support and encourage them.

May 17-18:  Pre-Tryout Camp 2 for U8-U12

This camp is tailored for U8-U12 players gearing up for tryouts scheduled on May 20-22. Don't miss out on the chance to register online! It's an excellent opportunity to stay in the game and prepare for tryouts!

May 20-22:  Tryouts for U8-U12 Academy and Competitive Teams
For our younger players aged U8-U12, tryouts will be held from May 20th to May 22nd. Let's see what they've got and welcome them to our soccer family!

Meet Our New Director of Coaching: Nolan Walsh!

Exciting Announcement! ⚽ 🎉

Vestavia Hills Soccer Club is thrilled to announce Nolan Walsh's appointment as the new Director of Coaching for the Attack and Steamers teams. With a solid coaching background, Nolan brings a wealth of experience and success to his new role.

Nolan has been an integral part of VHSC for the past two years, already achieving remarkable milestones, such as winning a state championship this past Fall. Before joining VHSC, he served four years as a staff coach and club registrar for Chicago FC United MLS Academy in Chicago. Additionally, he contributed as an assistant coach at Trinity University for five years, further honing his coaching expertise.

Nolan steps into his new role to fill the shoes of Coach Kat, who is embarking on a journey with college soccer at Pitt State, and Carlo Schiavoni, who has ventured into professional soccer with Birmingham Legion FC. We extend our heartfelt wishes to Coach Kat and Carlo for their future endeavors, and we're confident Nolan will continue to uphold the standards of excellence at VHSC.

👗 My Sister's Closet is a boutique with a heartwarming mission – providing new and gently used apparel, shoes, and accessories at no cost to women and girls who are escaping domestic violence, living in shelter, or facing extreme life transitions.

🏙️ Located in the heart of downtown Birmingham, just behind YWCA headquarters, My Sister's Closet has been a beacon of hope since 1986. What started as a small venture to assist domestic violence survivors has blossomed into a cherished shopping destination for women from all walks of life.

💖 Throughout the year, we will run various donation campaigns to support My Sister's Closet. Keep an eye out for emails detailing how you can contribute, and be sure to look for collection bins at select locations. Every little bit counts in making a difference!

Steamers 09 Black are State Champions!

Congrats to our 2009 Steamers Black I!!!!

After a thrilling weekend of competitive games the boys came away with the state championship.

Game 1, kicked off against NCU Premier Gunnersville. The game was back and forth on both ends. Vestavia created many chances but was unable to put away a goal before halftime.  

The winning goal came in the  second half 

 from Colt Stabler. Which saw the steamers through with a 1-0 win to the finals. A special shout out to the backline that kept a clean sheet. This consisted of McKeand Jones, Haynes Jonas, Caleb Wright, David Oropeza, Noah Whittle, Clint Cameron and Asa Stout.  

Game 2 saw VHSC face off against SYSA Springville. At the end of the first half the score was 3-1 with goals coming from Colt Stablier and David Oropeza. The second half ended in a 4-1 win with Colt Stablier completing a hatrick to seal  the championship.

We are very proud of the preformances from everyone on the team. Congrats on your second state cup win 2009 Steamers Black!

Steamers 10 Black are State Champions!

Congratulations to Steamers 2010 Black and Coach Rusty on being 2023 State Champions! The Steamers defeated Wetumpka in the semi-finals by a score of 4-1. William McClain led the scoring with two goals, while Brayan Machuca and Gavin Carpenter both added a goal each. Jonas Schaffer and Briley Guinn contributed assists in the scoring. Ethan Hurst and Nolan Blackenburg preserved the win in goal.

In the finals, the boys took on Trussville United SC. In the first half, Layton Draiss earned a penalty for the Steamers after being played through on goal, with Zach Phillips putting the team in front. Trussville converted a penalty of their own leaving a half time score of 1-1. Coming out of the break, Jonas Schaffer scored the eventual game winner after being played through by Jad el-Kattan. Brayan Machuca scored another goal late in the game to seal the win.

Their goal is to educate young athletes and students on wellness to destigmatize this subject from a young age and to facilitate behavioral changes for better and more appropriate habits and routines.
