Steamers 10 Black are State Champions!
Congratulations to Steamers 2010 Black and Coach Rusty on being 2023 State Champions! The Steamers defeated Wetumpka in the semi-finals by a score of 4-1. William McClain led the scoring with two goals, while Brayan Machuca and Gavin Carpenter both added a goal each. Jonas Schaffer and Briley Guinn contributed assists in the scoring. Ethan Hurst and Nolan Blackenburg preserved the win in goal.
In the finals, the boys took on Trussville United SC. In the first half, Layton Draiss earned a penalty for the Steamers after being played through on goal, with Zach Phillips putting the team in front. Trussville converted a penalty of their own leaving a half time score of 1-1. Coming out of the break, Jonas Schaffer scored the eventual game winner after being played through by Jad el-Kattan. Brayan Machuca scored another goal late in the game to seal the win.

Steamers 2011 Black are Perdido Soccer Shootout Champions!
Congrats to our 2011 Steamers Black I on being crowned Champions for the Perdido Soccer Shootout!
The boys finished the tournament undefeated and only conceded 2 goals throughout the entire tournament!
- Game 1 saw the steamers play Pensacola Rush in a 2-1 win. Goals courtesy of Patrick Jackson and Luke Wilson helped secure the win for the team. Some great individual play from CJ Wade and Charlie Colvin helped create the goals to bring the victory.
- Game 2 had the Steamers match up against MSC Lakers. The game ended in a 4-1 win with this being the most goals in a single game for the team at the tournament. Goals came from Nolan Walker, Luke Wilson and Collier Preskit to help ensure the victory for the team. Pulling the strings in midfield Jeremy Xie, Skye Rodney-Phillips and Will Ennis helped provide some creative solutions to find all the goal scorers for the assists.
- Game 3 was a close 1-0 win. One teammate was unable to travel due to injury. Grey Caroll who provided a constant encouragement to the boys with his motivative talk and passion demand high standards.The game winning goal came off an excellent shot from Jeremy Lam all the way from the halfway line. This game resulted in the teams only shutout thanks to excellent goalkeeping from John David Reamey and aid of his back line consisting of Boone Dunham, Eli Smith, Jeremy Lam and Crue Swords.

The Steamers 13 Black CEN team championed through the Vestavia Invitational tourney with a record of 3-0 and putting on an impressive display. Individual performances came together to help the team on its path to the championship. This team is one to look out for in the future! Thank you to all parents who rose to the occasion by heavily encouraging our players on the pitch!

Vestavia 13G Red Stars are Alabama Soccer Showdown Finalists!
Congratulations to the Vestavia 13G Red Stars on their performance at the Alabama Soccer Showdown! The Red Stars played tough competition and finished as Finalists in this year’s Showdown tournament! Way to go Red Stars!

Attack 14 Black CEN Advanced to the finals in the Alabama Soccer Showdown!
The girls had an excellent showing in their first tournament ever, defeating Gardendale 2-1 and Homewood 4-0 to advance to the Semi Finals. The semi’s was a rematch with Gardendale and the girls came out strong winning 3-1 to advance to their first tournament finals!
The finals was an exciting game verse Springville. The girls came back from 3-1 down to tie it up 4-4 by the end of regulation. The girls showed a lot of fight, displayed incredible teamwork, and had some beautiful combination passing. They came up short in pk’s though and took home 2nd. A great showing in their first academy season!
Attack 13 Black are Hoover Invitational Tournament Champions!
Congratulations to Attack 13 Black for bringing home the hardware at the 2022 Hoover Invitational Tournament!
The Attack displayed excellent positivity, skill, and teamwork throughout the weekend, winning the final and finishing 1st in the tournament!
First, the Attack opened the tournament on a frigid Friday night against Trussville 13G White! The girls dug deep and played great build-up/passing soccer to start the tournament. The 1st goal on Friday night began with build-up play from the goalkeeper, connecting passes and breaking lines to end with a dazzling Garrincha to finish with conviction. The Attack finished by scoring 3 more goals in the second half, winning the game 4-1.
Next, the Attack took on AFC Alabaster. Through solid defending and continued teamwork, the Attack won 2-0 over Alabaster. The win placed the Attack 13 Black into the Semi-Final against a sister Vestavia 13G Red Stars team.
In the Semi-Final on Sunday AM, the Attack faced their friends in a very tight game. The team defended like champs to set up the game winning goal. The late goal came through by great defending and passing to put the Attack through to the Final that afternoon!
The final pitted the Attack 13 Black versus the undefeated Hoover 13 Lady Phantoms Blue team. The game was an excellent final with both teams having chances early on. A near miss late in the game by the Hoover Lady Phantoms was followed up by a barrage of shots and shot off the post for the Attack! Fittingly, the game could not be settled in regulation play and had to go to kicks from the mark.
Each team had 3 kicks... Hoover shot first - saved by the Attack GK! Attack shoots - saved by the Hoover GK! The 2nd shooter for Hoover stepped up... shot... goal for the Hoover team, now up 1-0! Next, the Attack's 2nd shooter stepped up and calmly placed her penalty kick into the corner of the goal! 1-1 and onto the 3rd shooter!
The 3rd shooter stepped up for the shot... shot - SAVE BY THE ATTACK GK! To the win the game, the 3rd shooter stepped up for the Attack! BOOM! GOLAZO! The Attack win 2-1 on penalty kicks to win the Championship!

Steamers 12 Southampton - April 2022
This past weekend the 2012 Steamers Southampton Boys finished a great weekend as Finalist in the Hoover Havoc Tournament.
The boys defeated the Hoover York boys 2-0 after two second half goals from Ryan S. along with some stellar goalkeeping from Wells C. to ensure the clean sheet.
In their second match, the boys had a strong showing with a 7-1 victory over Hoover Lightning. Colt P. set the tone with an early Hat Trick!
After an intense final, the boys fell 3-2 to AFC Alabaster. The Steamers looked strong all weekend with high energy and dedication to sound defending!

Steamers 10 Black II Are RDVC Tournament Finalists!
Congratulations to Steamers 10 Black II, who were finalists in this weekend's Red Diamond Vulcan Cup!
The boys won their first game 1-0 against Trussville, with Sawyer Prier scoring the lone goal. In game two, the boys again won by a score of 1-0, this time against ARIS FC. Jad El-Kattan scored a late penalty to get the win. Nolan Blackenburg kept a shutout in each of the team's first two group games.
